Last night, I rode pillion behind my friend whom I've only come to know for 3 years now. He is so tall I couldn't see what's in fronta me I was doubtful and it felt like a risk taken unknown of what's to come? Sort of putting your faith in your friend and just tagging behind. He took me one big round around Yishun to the busstop. It was fun! Night always seemed treacherous. Too dark, too quiet; Places you have been told to avoid at night. In comparison, Korean and American streets would still be bustling with life at such hours. It was so amazing, being a pillion rider not worrying about whats before you and which direction you have to turn. I looked all around me (albeit only on my right and left, up and down). At the trees, the buildings, the reservoir, the flats the road signs, the people. I peeked into the mundane surroundings of this community, something new to me. KTPH was so cool I initially asked if that was a shopping mall as I passed by the shops within haha.
On bus 854 home past a forested area, a train filled with passengers headed towards Jurong East passed by simultaneously! I immediate thought "these people are all heading home!" haha and I felt happy about that. A happy feeling knowing that they, too, are returning home to somewhere familiar after a tiring or adventurous day! heehee I desire to capture that perfect moment when the train passed by me but my phone can never obtain that effect.
A scene like this can be so amazing, yea? :)
