what cute a bunch we are!!
Its been 7 years since we have been together, roughing it out together in our GG uniforms!!!! and see how we have evolved!!!

Though i admit i was expecting some form of - a tinge - of awkwardness when we met, but there wasnt! and i guess, being truthful and Happy, that's what makes us 6 cute little... girlguides... haha!
we visited ANGIE's house, she's the host, led on on a very Fulfilling tour around her Mansion - a.k.a Sembawang Palace - with a POOL, and built-in Lift within the house, and and... Gold-plated glass partition walls!!!!!! shhh.. I'm not telling you the location, lest you go hankypanky... just some ulu estate after a stretch of forests... walking prohibited!! Haha!

We made a promise to meet up once a year.
Promises are, well... something to look forward to, an opportunity to always remember and to hold on to beautiful moments.
Since we skipped last years'gathering, this year there will be TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on angie's snow-white bed...
we had an enactment of a childish pillowfight... LOL

the famed in-built life in the house... like OMG....!
we couldnt laugh in the lift, or we will be overweight. haha!

the camera was balancing in a CUP, mind you! hard to film okay! haha...

The CUTEST PIC!!!!

Its a Guides Pyramid!!! :)

at angie's poolside....

All the pics look so picture-perfect, I wonder if the camera is of a topnotch quality, or if its the beautiful rooms we have taken these pics in.... That makes me wanna look and look and relook these pretty photos... But I guess its the happiness and love of meeting up with each other and playing without restrictions that makes the 6 of us ever so Cheerful!!, ALTOGETHER again:)))))
Its bliss =)

Today,
I finally explored the Singapore River behind the building - UOB plaza - I work in! Its called..... BOAT QUAY! haha... well, I braved the drizzle, in fact I sat in the drizzle eating my meesiam.. so spicy so shiok with scrumptous egg.. anyway,
I strolled the entire ovalish pathway around the river feeling so cheerful! It was such great a weather, the sun was obscured, and the drizzle left!!!
I felt as amazed as a tourist would, when I proudly looked upon Sir Stamford Raffles over the river! (wow, I discovered its location today...) Then, i wondered, real hard, if it had been Sang Nila Utama or raffles who founded Singapore? What's... Founded? But, Sang Nila had discovered this forested island!!?
And I curiously peered round the corners of the Asian Civilisations Museum; tried to picture the masterpieces lying inside the Arts House...
Then, i bravely walked up a slope leading to the Parliament House!!! Of course the gate was locked, with 2 policemen - guards turned around to observe me!!! haha.. did I look .. suspicious??? LOL...
Oh, and across from the Cavenagh Bridge overlooking skyscrapers on 1 side, the other side was the Magnificient Fullerton Hotel!!! I'm telling, my wedding will be held there!!!! LOL.... I really love it man, so medieval style, with gray stoned pillars and carvings... and blossommy bougainvilleas shooting out of the 2nd storey - álfresco'simming pool... OMG!!! as though it belonged to the same category of the Greek Romain Colloseums and Santorini town...
Whatever!
But, Its my DREAM VILLA!!!! absolutely lovely:) and I'm in Love, with it!
OMG! from the esplanade rooftop at night, the lightings make the hotel even more mystical!! I'm serious.
It took me just 20 minutes to walk the entire circumference of Boat Quay. I'll definitely rewalk the trails, before I leave this job here=)
I'm so Proud of things here,

Uniquely Singapore, YEAH!!!

3/2/10
Tell me. Tell me how did the cranes go high up there? Piece by piece of glass being glued, like a jigsaw. And the cranes so high up.

5/2/10
Its a relaxing day at work. Few people in the office today (on leave), and there was nothing much for me to do, so i felt really at ease.

There's seriously a very depressing feeling bugging me down right now. Steph's last day at work today. I intend to work just 1,2 more weeks. Yet, how am I able to let go of my beloved 1 hour bus rides to and from work daily for a month? and my picturesque view of the Proud IR and the esplanade and the tall lego blocks of buildings at Raffles Place?

Today I made a new bus friend. I always make bus friends. On the morn bus to NY i have befriended so many bus friends introduced from other bus friends... Today, this is a girl from NY too, but we have never communicated. :) today i Discovered (LOL, what discovered!!! haha!) that stephanie was weilun's classmate in NY... !!! and i somemore told him "MY NY friend introduced me the job." Oh my goodenss... and guess what! My ny bus friend peiling (bus 156 to NYjc) and she whom i occasionally meet on the bus (no 70) on the way home from Raffles.P, is also from the same class as BOTH OF THEM! OMGosh. Then WHY, did they (peiling and weilun) never said hello at all when we all took the same bus to NY for 2 years....??

Its all a game of meet and catch.

tell me.

Red Roses too.

Thursday, February 4, 2010
Working at Raffles Place is a game.
During lunch time, cupids give away free roses in view of Valentines'Day... Crepe paper roses, real rose stalks and today, free Munchy's Healthy biscuits.
When we spot everyone so curiously staring at their complementary tokens while walking, my eyes trace the trail of commuters, to its source!! And its interesting to discover the 'part-timers' dressed in flamboyant costumes carrying baskets with the roses and biscuits. So I approached them (too) to take 1! Its not being greedy or cheapskate;
You wouldnt know.
This little pleasure and excitement in receiving something lovely (as in the rose), complentarily and I wonder who this good samaritan (the company) is, to sponsor many free roses for so many female office girls at R.Place... and then i wonder how many roses had to die.. and how long it took for a single stalk to grow....
Today's biscuits were really yummy!

Its life's simple pleasures.
When you take notice of such simple pleasures, You'll be a happier person!:) You think of the kind hearted souls and know such nice people do exist! :)

Although I've been half defeated in my daily Morning games... Its simply me experimenting with my vibrant imaginations; so, be it!

Today, a lady was chasing after the leaving bus and without hesitation i stuck out my arm while sitting on the stone chair to flap wildly at the air to attract the bus drivers's attention to Halt! but, to no avail. The lady smiled and thanked me. Its a sweet feeling. =)

Today I received a well-deserved puff from my working mentor after lunch! Was it a sign of appreciation, or guilt, that they have thrust me all the trivial filing and mundane photostating jobs, but I have performed all these tasks dutifully without any grudges or glitches? Maybe I aint that minute in my own enclaves at my desk after all...

Going to work
is a GAME.
It feels just like a game today. In the morning I brisk walk to the bus stop to avoid being late, or rather, not wanting to miss a target. But there is this moment I got to make a hasty decision, to guess which bus is the right one to board, when 3 of the same bus number 70 arrives simultaneously. I chose the first. I didnt dare challenge, seize the vacant seats on the other 2. Then i wrestle with people to the back, and when i get a seat I am so conscious to look out for elderly whom i might have to offer the seat to. We arent ugly people. Sometimes we merely overlooked circumstances. I feel so stupid. After i alight, i glance into the 2 buses behind and its getting emptier, lonelier, easier to observe - each commuter still onboard. Spotted. After work i rush to the bus stop to catch the bus which arrives between 6 to 6.05pm. and when i climbed onto the second deck, I glance around. Many people are just... late, and they have missed this bus which i have caught. Why wouldnt these people board the earlier morning bus, leave work earlier, or walk faster, a little??

Its a game that I am playing, catching invisible triumphs, satiating myself. Probably its the only pleasure I can indulge in in the monotony of my days. I wished they had played this game too, along with me.
